Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one. Because of technical restrictions on social media platforms, these imports only work when you’re logged in.
Is there a limit?
Yes, there is a monthly limit on social media imports, because they run through external services. Importing from websites, photos or text is not affected by this limit.
What if the recipe is only in the video?
The recipe is read from the text of the post. If the ingredients are only spoken in the video and not written in the caption, there’s nothing to import. You can then add the recipe yourself or paste it as text.
Can I edit the recipe afterwards?
Yes. Every imported recipe can be edited, tagged and scaled like any other recipe in your book.
Is it free?
Yes. I built Your Recipes for my own kitchen and I’m happy to share it, so it’s free. No ads, no subscription.
